ANIMATED DEMOS
1. Display your LIDAR imagery: Use the “Load LIDAR Data” tool on the LIDAR Analyst® toolbar to import the first, second, and intensity images into the project. LIDAR Analyst supports raster data, GeoTiff and IMG formats. 2. Extract the bare earth profile: Use the default parameter settings in LIDAR Analyst to perform the bare earth extraction. The bare earth profile, called the digital terrain model (DTM), represents the surface layer without ground clutter, such as trees, building, cars, and other above ground objects. 3. Find your features of interest: The LIDAR Analyst toolset includes fully automated tools for mapping high-detail building footprints as shown in the above image of Seattle, Washington. 4. View your feature model in 3D: Three-dimensional viewing allows for animated visualization of metropolitan and rural areas, increasingly common in areas of defense and intelligence, not to mention real estate and computer game applications. |
